Welcome speech of the executiveeditor of the edition «Kazakhstan and Russia: features of the ethnodemographic development in ХIХ – beggining of ХХI centures»
This edition of the international scientific journal "The World of Great Altay" is devoted to the analysis of the ethnodemographic, historical, sociocultural, social and economic processes, which are specific first of all for Kazakhstan and Russia.
The international scientific conferences under the united title – "Ethnodemographic Processes in Kazakhstan and adjacent territories" are held in Ust-Kamenogorsk within 20 years. The articles submitted on the XVII international conference which was taking place in September, 2018 in Ust-Kamenogorsk are published in this issue.
The block of research is devoted to studying of migration problems in a long retrospective. I. Anisimova carries out the analysis of policy of the Russian Empire for the migration movement of Kazakhs on the territory of the Altay district in the second half of 18th – the middle of the 19th centuries. In 19th – the beginning of the 20th centuries B.Zh. Atantayeva and R.D. Akhmetova's article is devoted to the history of formation of the Tatar population of the Semipalatinsk Irtysh land. N.N. Ablazhey and E.G. Vodichev tell about the results of th research of transformation of borders and problems of cross-border cooperation of Russia and Kazakhstan. According to scientists, the current state of cross-border cooperation does not stimulate processes of regional development and integration. The analysis of migration communications of municipal units in Altay Kray which is carried out by E.V. Tarasova allowed the author to come to a conclusion that intermunicipal migration significantly influences the number and the structure of the population of Altay Kray, aggravating their economical and demographic inequality. Urbanized processes during the Post-Soviet period of history led to emergence in Kazakhstan of the new phenomena in ethnosocial, ethnodemographic structure of the population. The installations of the city Kazakhs, partially or completely integrated into city space of the Republic of Kazakhstan are considered in G.A. Sarsembayeva's article. The purpose of the article of A.S. Zhanbossinova and A.T. Kazbekova is consideration of the history of political repressions through a prism of gender methodology. The genesis of the Post-Soviet markets is traced, an attempt to reveal their historical predecessors is made in V.I. Dyatlov's article.
